Start by understanding the loss
A failed drive, deleted folder or ransomware incident can each need a different response. We help assess what has happened, which information matters and what recovery options may be available.
Tell us whether the issue involves one device, shared storage, cloud accounts or a wider business system. Recovery depends on the damage, available copies and the incident itself; we cannot guarantee that missing or encrypted data can be restored.
What we can help with
- Discussing lost files, device faults and available backup or version history.
- Assessing whether recovery work is suitable or needs specialist support.
- Planning restoration from usable backups and rebuilding affected systems.
- Prioritising essential accounts, applications and business information.
- Reviewing backup and recovery arrangements after the immediate problem.
Failed devices and accidentally deleted information
If important data is missing, avoid repeated repair attempts, resets or writing new files to the affected device. Explain what happened and whether you have a separate backup before making further changes.
Physical drive damage or complex storage failures may require a specialist recovery laboratory. We discuss that limitation rather than claiming in-house clean-room facilities or guaranteed results.
Disaster and ransomware recovery
For a suspected live incident, follow your incident response arrangements and isolate affected systems from the network where it is safe to do so. Contact your IT support and insurer using an unaffected communication route. Preserve relevant information before deciding how to rebuild.
We can discuss a recovery scope based on known-clean systems, usable backup copies and the applications needed to resume work. We do not promise ransomware decryption, a fixed recovery time or that paying a ransom will recover information. Any specialist incident-response work must be agreed explicitly.
On-site backups and UK cloud backups for recovery
We provide on-site backups and cloud backups to Amazon S3 buckets located in the UK as part of an agreed backup and disaster recovery plan. Local copies can support restores at your premises, while a separate cloud copy can help if local equipment or backup storage is unavailable.
We agree which systems and data need protecting, backup schedules, retention and practical restore checks. Recovery priorities and timescales depend on the available backups, data size, connection and systems involved.
Prepare before you need to recover
Identify the systems you need first and how much interruption or lost work you could tolerate. Our backup solutions and business security support can form part of that planning.
Support across Cheshire and surrounding counties
We welcome enquiries from Crewe, Nantwich, Winsford, Tarporley, Northwich and Warrington, as well as customers across Cheshire and the surrounding counties, including Shropshire, Staffordshire and Denbighshire. Tell us your postcode and what you need so we can discuss a suitable visit, remote session or project assessment.
Common questions
Can every failed drive be recovered?
No. Results depend on its condition, the failure and any work already attempted. We assess the situation and discuss appropriate next steps before recovery work.
Can you recover ransomware-encrypted files?
That depends on clean backups, unaffected copies or an available legitimate recovery method. Some losses cannot be reversed. An assessment is needed before making any commitment.
Is this a 24-hour emergency response service?
Our published hours are every day, 8am–6pm. Availability and the recovery scope must be agreed; this page does not promise an immediate or around-the-clock response.
