Give your network a practical foundation
A useful wired network starts with the positions of desks, access points, printers and other equipment. We help plan network cabling and cabinets so connections are easier to identify, maintain and expand.
Whether you need additional data points, an organised patch panel or cabling for new premises, we discuss the existing installation and the work needed before proposing a design.
What we can help with
- Planning data outlets, cable routes and space for future requirements.
- Discussing suitable copper cabling, including Cat6 options where appropriate.
- Installing agreed data points, patch panels and cabinet components.
- Organising patch leads, tracing connections and labelling ports.
- Checking connections and agreeing the testing and documentation required.
Plan the cabinet as well as the cable
A cabinet needs suitable space, ventilation, access and a sensible arrangement for switches, patch panels and power-related equipment. We discuss capacity, equipment layout and who needs to maintain it.
Cable routes, building access and work around occupied areas affect the installation plan. Any specialist building work, electrical work or access requirements should be identified and agreed separately.
Be clear about testing and handover
Basic connection checks and formal cabling certification are different things. If your project requires standards-based certification reports or a manufacturer warranty, tell us before the quotation so the testing scope can be agreed. We do not describe a cable as certified without the appropriate evidence.
Structured cabling can also support wireless access points and office moves. We can discuss the wider network configuration alongside the physical installation.
Support across Cheshire and surrounding counties
We welcome enquiries from Crewe, Nantwich, Winsford, Tarporley, Northwich and Warrington, as well as customers across Cheshire and the surrounding counties, including Shropshire, Staffordshire and Denbighshire. Tell us your postcode and what you need so we can discuss a suitable visit, remote session or project assessment.
Common questions
Can you tidy an existing cabinet?
Yes, we can assess cabinet organisation, trace agreed connections and discuss labelling and patching. We plan any interruptions before disconnecting working services.
Can I keep existing cabling?
We can discuss its condition, identification and suitability for the intended use. New equipment does not automatically mean every cable needs replacing.
What should I provide for a quote?
A floor plan, approximate number of outlets, equipment locations and any known access restrictions are useful. The final scope may need a visit.
